Welcome
Welcome to Ann Arbor Behavioral Services, where compassionate, evidence-based care meets your mental health needs. Our team of therapists are trained and skilled in approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide the best and most effective treatment to client’s facing a wide range of mental health challenges.
DBT-informed Therapy
The specific DBT approach we offer at Ann Arbor Behavioral Services is DBT-informed. DBT-informed treatment is less intensive than comprehensive DBT but continues to incorporate many of the core principles of DBT without the group component. DBT-informed is a personalized approach tailored to each client, focusing on building emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills within one-on-one therapy. While parents and partners are not required, we do encourage loved ones to engage in their own therapeutic process with a separate clinician within our clinic. This allows both the individual and their supports to develop valuable skills in a supportive environment while maintaining therapeutic space.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
At Ann Arbor Behavioral Services, we use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their emotional distress. CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying negative thinking, developing healthier perspectives, and building effective coping strategies. Our therapists work collaboratively with their clients to set goals, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and practice new skills to promote lasting emotional wellbeing.
